Leslie Mehta is running to flip Chesterfield’s HD-73 in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Leslie is an attorney, a wife, and a mom. She became a lawyer to protect people’s rights and to stand up for our Constitution. She believes that justice requires the courage to defend our rights and not back down to threats and power. Leslie is presently serving as the Interim CEO of the National Rett Syndrome Foundation.
She was raised in North Carolina where her parents worked several jobs to take care of her and her two sisters. She graduated from UNC -Chapel Hill and attended Howard Law School. Professionally, Leslie has worked in a variety of legal positions from a private law firm to working for the organizations to an administrative government job. Her and her husband have lived in Chesterfield for over a decade and their daughter is a kindergarten student in Chesterfield Public School.
